I can understand having some fears of different things but you can see by not going to the dentist regularly you now need to have major dental work done.

Had you went in for your twice a year check up you may have prevent this from happening in the first place. I hope you can now see how important it is to see the dentist even when you feel it is not necessary.

Having a root canal is not so bad. It will normally take around an hour or a little more to have the process done. The dentist will numb you out so you should not have any pain but if you do feel pain then just tell the dentist so he or she can take care of it.

After the root canal is done they will will a temporary crown on until you crown comes back from the lab. Normally in about a week time. Have the crown put on is easy and after having the root canal done should not be upsetting to you at all.

I had a root canal done and having it done was not so bad. Though I was sore for a day afterwords. My jaw was stiff. So something you should know in case you want to have some soft food on hand the first day.

I had to wait a week for the crown to be put on but that was nothing and only took less then 20 minutes to do.

I would tell you dentist a head of time that you are nevus about having the root canal work done. This way they can take a little more time with you if you have have fear or concerns to address with them during the process.
