Golden West Dental plan 200 HMO, Getting a couple plan

Wednesday, Oct. 13th 2010 9:54 AM

I would like to know if it is just me and my ten year old son can I buy the couple plan?  Or do I get a family plan.  Not sure if couple mean married or not.  Please advise.  Also any suggestions on picking out a dentist.  I do not have one right now so advise on choosing one would be nice.  Thank you

  1. Andrew Gollab Says:

You can buy a couple plan if it is you and a dependent as well as you and a spouse. When choosing a dentist in a plan network I suggest calling the dentist first and confirming not only that they take the plan but any other questions you may have. Such as business hours, how far booked up they may be, that they are doing the type of dental services you may be looking for. Any really that is important to you.

When I had to choose a net work dentist I drove by their office to check it out. I even when it just to see if I was notice if they seem overly busy. I also wanted to see if staffing seem friendly and was the place clean looking. It all depends on how much effort you want to put into finding the right dentist for yourself.
