Comparing dental insurance coverages
I am shoping out my dental. I have a plan that my work offers but I do not feel it is a really good plan. I have a 1000 max limit on my current plan which is not great but workable. My problem is that it seems I am always over what my company is willing to pay for UCR rates.
So I am always getting hit up for more money then I am thinking I should spend. Even though my dentist submits all claims for approval so I know what my cost are going to be I still feel like what is the point of having dental insurance.
How do you go about comparing coverage with dental PPO plans when it seems to me that the company can pay out whatever they want to any way.

It seems to me that you rather have a plan that lays out your cost so that you know what you get in coverage and you are going to spend for your dental services without having any nasty UCR fees.
If that is the case look at the HMO dental insurance plan. There are no guessing games as to what is going to be your true cost for services render since they show there coverages and what your cost is on a fee schudule you can reveiw prior to buying the plan
