Delta Dental’s roots go back to 1954 with the formation of dental service corporations in CA, Oregon and Washington, which were created by dentists who recognized the need to increase access to oral health care. Delta Dental companies are actively engaged in many studies, grants and partnerships with dental schools and community health organizations to increase access to professional dental care as well as to research evidence-based dentistry and the efficacy of new benefit designs.
