Affordable dental services, Low income need dental work

Wednesday, Jul. 28th 2010 9:00 AM

I am not asking for free dental work just more affordable dental work.  I live off a fixed income.  Which I guess most people do now a days.  However just to go to the dental for your normal check cleaning X-ray etc.  Cost me over $175.00.

I always go to the dentist praying that I do not have anything  more that I need because I do not have the money beyond the $175.00 I scrape up.  Where can I go to have dental work done for a much cheaper price.  Tired of foking out all my saving just to have clean teeth.

I know how you feel about the ever increasing cost of dental services. I see not stop to it either. I remember when it would only cost me 50.00 for a cleaning now my dentist is up to 95.00

There are two things off hand I can suggest. One get dental insurance or a dental plan to help off set your dental cost. Normally you can get either a dental insurance or a plan starting at around 10.00 not bad when some dental insurance plan 100 percent of your preventive dental services like your cleaning.

The second thing is to shop out your dentist. You may be able to find a dentist that offer better pricing. Or go to a dental clinic or school for the low dental cost.
