Tuesday, Nov. 23rd 2010 9:59 AM

I been going to this one family dental office  Family Smile Care for the past four years.  However my job changing the benefits they are offering and the dental is going up.  I started shopping out my cost to see what I could get on my own and if I can find something cheaper.

Not only did I find the Golden West dental plan 200 on your website and found out it is much cheeper then what I was paying but it offer better benefits.  However it says you need to choice one of there plan networ provider and I do not see my dentist listed.   How do I go about having them listed so I can go them and get your plan?

Golden West Dental plan 200, How can I add my dental office to the list of providers

  1. Casey Says:

Dental HMO plans like GoldenWest are in network provider plans only. Meaning that you do need to pick a dentist that is listed in the company provider data base.

If you dental office is not there that dental HMO plan would not be valid for going to your dentist. You could call your dental office and see if they are willing to become a provider of the GoldentWest dental plan but you can not make them do so.

  2. Greg Says:

With GoldenWest dental plan being an HMO dental insurance plan there would be no plan benefits for see dentist other then what are listed in there net work.

At best you can call your dental office and see if they are willing to become a provider of the GoldenWest dental plan. Which would be very great if they did or was willing to become a provider.

However the odds are not high. If you want to say with your dentist regardless of dental network then you may want to look at dental PPO plans. They are more costly then Dental HMO plans but will let you stay with your dentist.
