Dental discount plans and the dentist that take them
I do not have a dentist right now and have not seen one in a long while. I was talking to my friends telling them I would really like to go to the dentist for a check up and cleaning. Since I do not have much money for dental insurance I was telling them about how I was thinking about getting a dental discount plan.
They told me I should not waste my money because the dentist that take dental discount plans are no good and have to take those type of plans in order to get business. So now I am not sure if I should get one or just hope to pick up dental insurance when I can better afford it.

I would say that your friends do not really know much do they? To say that the only dentist that accept dental plans are no good means they are just talking out of thin air.
Unless they went to every dentist on a dental discount plan they can not be a judge on that. Also what dentist does not want to build up their business? Hello that is want having a business is about.
I can only advise to judge for yourself. I do try not to listen to people that make such broad statements as if it is a fact about all things.

What?? Are they for real. I have a great dentist that accepts a dental discount plan. I had the dentist before gettng the plan. In fact it was my dentist that told that the accept the discount plan and to go out and get it.
He did so because I told him I could not afford dental insurance and I needed alot of dental work done. He did not even have to tell me about it I would have still gotten my work done there and paid full price.
If that is a bad dentist then I do not have a clue as to what your friend would think a good dentist would do.
